Introducing the Northwoods of Maine 20 x 20 oil on canvas - an inviting painting of the backwoods of Maine. This piece was created by discovery along a logging road deep in the heart of Maine. It was a welcoming sight as I approached a bridge on a mid day in May. There below the bridge, I was delighted to see and hear the rush of a river. As the rapid clear water effortlessly flowed, I could see the fullness and clarity of the water. I was struck by the rugged rocky shoreline and fullness of the terrain. The greenness and freshness was truly captivating. However, more importantly there was a sense of being transported in time - where just the present moment seemed to matter. |
