 Lakeside view is a larger version of an earlier painting that was completed last fall. It reminds me of being by the lakeside looking out through a cabin window. The absolute calmness and stillness of the water can instill a sense of peace and moment of tranquility.

Art Exhibit News~ Post from The Tailored Tea
1010 TROY-SCHENECTADY RD, Latham NY 04/21/2013 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm "We are looking forward to introducing our two current artists who are exhibiting in our upstairs galleries, Warren Lee (photography) and Karen Woodin (oil painting, New England landscapes). Both have shown their work widely in the Capital District, and we are thrilled to offer their differing perspectives at The Tailored Tea. beautiful day outside of Woodstock Vermont. The reflection along the river depicts the glow of a fall day and enhances the uniqueness of our heritage of coverbridges. This lovely oil painting is now available at the Tailored Tea 1010 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, NY for April and May 2013 in the Hudson Room beginning April 21st. Artist opening reception is on Sunday April 21st from 6:30-8:30pm. Open to the public. |
