This is my second lighthouse painting of a series of lighthouses in New England. One of the benefits of having family in Maine is the chance to visit scenic lighthouse locations. The biggest challenge was to determine what angle to paint from. In selecting this particular composition, there were two compelling reasons. The morning light and full range of the lighthouse. It is a majestic site and my intention was to capture the splendor and beauty of this major attraction. The greenery just happened to be an added bonus.
