This  oil painting on canvas is part of a  series of New England fall paintings. One of the benefits of living in upstate New York is the chance to visit many lakes and rivers in the region. This particular painting depicts Clermont State Park in Saugerties, NY. The landscape view overlooks the Hudson River and is a beautiful place to visit. Here a person can walk along the river or stroll through the woods. There is a solemn, reflective, and peaceful beauty here at the park which captures the fall season. The fall scene seems to whisper the word ~ change. May this painting that depicts the season of change bring a message of hope, understanding, and acceptance of what is and what will be.

My next painting will be based on the Hudson River theme. It will be a realistic interpretation derived from this photograph that I took last fall. When I have completed this painting it will be featured at the Broadway Art Center in Albany for the Hudson River Exhibit. Check in often and see how this beauty emerges!

This painting of the Nubble is a little landmark of Mackerel Cove on Bailey's Island in Maine. It is a bait shack and storage for bouys for the lobstermen. A little red heart adorns the door, which really adds to the charm that Maine brings....
