The Lucky Hidden Stream
Here is a unique painting that I am working on. The challenge is to create the movement and direction of incoming water with a frothy finish. It is important to add depth and variation in the water , but that will demand more color tones and hues of blue and violet that reflect the sky. What may appear at first glance like a simple composition, is hardly the case when it comes to the complexity of painting water. Oh how I love challenges!  Tidal Waters Here are some clouds formed with a palette with about 6 hues of blues and subtle violet shades. The next phase is creating the water of an incoming tide with a hint of a beach and remnants of land formation. This is results from one of today's lessons with one of my students. This painting is all about depth and movement.  Here are the various steps for painting a birdhouse scene--minus the bird on top. That will come later....     
Timeless Artist paintings are often inspired by out of the way places--glens, brooks, and hidden streams of New England. This particular photograph was taken last summer in New Hampshire. The stream is like a jewel that flows directly to the treasured rocks and lucky clover. Timeless Artist will soon embark on painting this photograph to premiere for March. It will be for sure a true treasure.
