Exploring the Adirondacks during the fall is often filled with vibrant and vivid array of colors. Sometimes the best images are evident when you are up close and deep in the thick of it as I was while kayaking on Lewey Lake. This painting captures the intensity of fall and the untamed nature of this region. Few motor boats are allowed on Lewey lake which allows life to flourish with an abundance of natural wonders. There was no doubt in my mind that this exact moment and spot would be depicted on canvas. The alluring and quiet simplicity of this location was enchanting and seemingly untouched by time.
